Angry Guild Problems

Well, i'm having some issues with my leader right now. It seems the power has gottent o his head. I'm not going to mention any names, but here's the story: around late august, my guild was formed. Me another dude, and the leader formed it after splitting off of two other previous guilds. basically, i paid for 1/4 of the hall (around 11k on my part) and about a thrid of the cape cost. Well now the leader is getting the idea that he is better than me and (not as much) the other dude. He is threatening demotions on my part, even though I "own" about 25% of the guild, not to mention i am either the first or second best ranger in the guild. I don't have anything against him, but we started the guild to get away from leadership problems, but they are starting to occur now. Here are some examples:
Nit-pickyness:
officer requirement: lvl 20, ring of fire. This is unfair because many prefer to pvp, not rp. I myself have no intention of getting there; i have mahran's armor, and am infused, and have a godly storm bow, and have done both 15 point quests. I have all the skills i want either unlocked on my rp characters, or unlocked with faction. I now mainly just farm to get better items or pvp because it's what I enjoy most. The guild however, has no way for a good pvper to become an officer, which is a shame.

inactive members: after 4 weeks, inactive members are booted. nothing wrong with that, but if anyone but him dares kick the people out of sheer initiaive, he threatens demotions.

Unfair leniancy:
recently, the leader invited one of his cousins into the guild. that is fine except for the fact that he is very rude and vulgar toward me. I warned him twice to stop, but he didn't, so I kicked him. Does this seem unreasonable? I didn't to me, but the leader still threatened to kick me. If it had been anyone but his cousin, he would have kicked him, showing unfair favoritism.

There are plenty of other examples of little things he does that is slowly changing him into a tyrant, but by now you are probably sick of reading this, so i won't list them. Am I being unreasonable, or should I tell him to back down. Any advice would be appreciated.
P.S. If "you" (the leader) are reading this, I don't want to make you about as a bad person, but I am merely pointing out the facts.

Talk to him you've told us enough for sure... Remember unless you were called owner of 25% of the guild you have just donated 25% of the gold that much is simple... Asking someone to not have favoritism over a relative is asking too much yes...

well heres my two cents.... ur a officer right? ur not enjoying ur guild leader right? even tho u payed for alittle of ur hall.. 11k can be easily made back in as little as a hr. so heres my suggestion.. take henchmen into gvg and ruin the guilds rating.. then leave because if u r unhappy in a guild.. whats the point of being in it?
Not always the right thing to do.. but sometimes ...well... yea.

I think you are being reasonable. The leader of your guild sounds like a real jerk and I'm surprised you haven't left that guild yet considering the amount of good quality guilds that are out there. Granted, they are hard to find. I believe that the leader of your guild has a major problem with power and now that he has this power it's getting to his head. The issue with his cousin sounds typical of someone who is sticking up for their family even though their family member is wrong. his cousin should of been warned by the guild leader since its HIS cousin and if he didn't stop then he should of been booted. It probably pisses him off that someone else has authority other then him. I'm surprised that there are any officers in the guild at all with his attitude and the officer requirements show how out of touch he is with the community at large.

What I think needs to happen...

You need to step up and ask for the leader to resign his position. If there are any others who have the same thoughts and feelings about this man as you do then you need to stand up together. Chances are he's not going to relinquish his power... people who gain power are afraid to lose it. He has invested as much time as you have into the guild and he's not going to let that go away. Because he is guild leader he has the upper hand..people will side with him on the issue and he can do what you cant ( Kick HIM/You out. ) I DEEPLY suggest that you put this behind you. If you beliee that you can be a fair, just, and giving leader then I would form a guild of your own. If not, then seek another guild. If you do decide to form your own guild based on fairness, justice, and pure enjoyment... PLEASE, Invite me into your guild...I would be more then happy to be a member in a guild like that.

Ignore this man's comments. Your money CAN be made back rather quickly, but you shouldn't seek revenge against the entire guild nor the man himself. Revenge gets you no where...and by just leaving the guild you're making a statement and your going to feel much better.

I am seriously considering making a guild when i get enough money though, just beacuse even though most of the members are awesome, not many people except the officers are close so we aren't the most fun to be in...

um, if u didnt read the thing, we voted him leader and we technically should have as much power as him seeing as we have put just as much into this guild as he has. Anyway, i'm stopping my ranting, and i'm going to try to get it sorted out, if not, I'm leaving.

Yes, plenty of good guilds with good leaders out there (mine...cough...too). You can always invite some of the good players over to your new guild.
